Dr. Sun Aixin is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Education) at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He received B.A.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Computer Engineering and Ph.D. from NTU in 2001 and 2004, respectively.

His research spans information retrieval, recommender systems, and natural language processing. With around 300 published papers, his work has accumulated over 26,000 citations and an h-index of 72 (Google Scholar). He has received several distinguished accolades, including the SIGIR 2025 Test of Time Honorable Mention Award, the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE Services Computing 2020, and a Best Student Paper Honorable Mention at SIGIR 2016.

Dr. Sun serves as an Associate Editor for ACM TOIS, ACM TORS, and ACM TIST, and is an editorial board member of JASIST. He has held significant roles at a few top-tier conferences including WWW, SIGIR, EMNLP, ICDM, CIKM, and WSDM.
