Our group concentrates on solving problems in solar-to-electric, solar-to-fuel conversion and fuel cells. We specially work on the design of efficient electrodes and catalysts to facilitate the clean energy technologies. Mechanistic understanding provides the basis of our design. Different approaches such as electrochemical methods, in situ characterization and DFT simulation are frequently employed and combined in our research to gain more fundamental understandings.
