Research

I joined my alma mater NTU in November 2004 as an Assistant Professor in the Mechatronic and Design Division, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to returning home, I spent 5 years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA attending Carnegie Mellon University, from which I received my Ph.D. degree in Robotics from the Robotics Institute and did a post-doc with the Medical Robotics Research Center. I graduated from MAE (it was called Mechanical and Production Engineering then) with M.Eng. and B.Eng. degrees in 1999 and 1997 respectively.

My primary research focus is in robotics technology, with special interests in medical and bio-technology related applications and human performance enhancement technology.
