Academic Roles and Service

My service focuses on building durable platforms for research, education, and community leadership in geometry, graphics, 3D vision, and immersive technologies.

At NTU, I have served as Director of the Centre for Augmented and Virtual Reality (CAVR) since 2022. With this role, I organize CAVR Winter and Summer Schools, helping to develop it into a self-sustaining entity. I have also served as Programme Co-Director of the MSc in Game Design and Technology (GDAT) since 2024, a cross-school initiative jointly offered with the School of Art, Design and Media and College of Computing and Data Science. In this role, I contribute to curriculum design, programme development, and coordination across disciplines, with the aim of integrating computing, design, and interactive media. Beyond these leadership roles, I have been actively involved in school and university committees related to teaching, assessment, appraisal and new faculty searching.

In the research community, I have served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, and Computational Visual Media. I have also taken on leadership roles as General or Program Co-Chair for major conferences in geometric modeling and computer graphics, including the Symposium on Solid and Physical Modeling, Geometric Modeling and Processing, Shape Modeling International, Pacific Graphics, the Computational Visual Media Conference, and CAD/Graphics. In 2027, I will serve as General Co-Chair of the International Geometry Summit, bringing together SPM, SMI, SGP, GMP, and SIAM GD in Singapore for the first time.
