Ma Zhengzhou was born in Binhai, China, in 1999. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Hohai University, Nanjing, China, in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree of electrical engineering in the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University.
Since June 2025, he has been supported by the China Scholarship Council through a one-year joint Ph.D. position at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
His current research interests include the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical machines through the magnetic field modulation theory, with particular reference to stator-PM machines and brushless doubly-fed machines.
