Our mission and vision
Chemical engineers work at the forefront of solving the most urgent problems threatening the sustainable development in this century: global warming, depletion of natural resources, shortage of food and environmental pollution. At EEREL, our primary objective is to device innovative chemical engineering solutions that improve the performance and environmental profiles of processes in the energy sector and the chemical industry.
Our research focuses on novel reactor concepts and novel materials (catalysts, carriers, sorbents, etc) to decarbonise chemical processes. We develop novel technologies and improve existing technologies using ideas across the domains of chemical engineering, physical chemistry and materials chemistry. We also collaborate with scientists and engineers from top institutions around the world.
