 Research Fellow - CEM I  (1/10/2024)
 
Applied and Computational ELectromagnetics (ACEL) Group is looking for a Research Fellow (RF) who will develop computational electromagnetics codes for rapid characterization of the fields scattered from artificial metasurfaces.

Key responsibilities:
Developing 3D integral equation / boundary element method-based codes
Accelerating these codes with matrix/tensor decomposition-based and fast Fourier transform-based schemes
Adopting these codes for multiple-CPU and/or GPU platforms via parallelization schemes
Validating these codes via canonical and real-world examples

Required qualifications:
PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
3 years of research experience in the related area
Experience in code development for integral equation/boundary element methods
Good publication record
Proficiency in C/C++ or Fortran
Proficiency in English

Applied and Computational ELectromagnetics (ACEL) Group is looking for a Research Fellow (RF) who will develop generative artificial intelligence (AI) and surrogate modelling techniques for synthesizing metasurfaces.

Key responsibilities:
Developing finely-tuned generative AI algorithms for synthesizing unit cells of metasurfaces
Developing new AI techniques to enhance the generalizability of classical generative AI techniques 
Developing machine/deep learning or polynomial-based surrogate modelling techniques for fast characterization of unit cells
Validating the performances of the synthesized configurations with those of the fabricated metasurfaces

Required qualifications:
PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
3 years of research experience in the related area
Experience in code development for generative AI and/or surrogate modelling
A good publication record
Coding experience in Phyton and Matlab as well as C/C++ or Fortran
Good written and oral communication skills

Applied and Computational ELectromagnetics (ACEL) Group is looking Research Associate (RA) who will develop computational electromagnetics codes for rapid characterization and optimization of metasurfaces.

Key responsibilities:
Developing 2D/3D integral equation / boundary element method-based codes.
Accelerating these codes with matrix/tensor decomposition-based and/or fast Fourier transform-based schemes.
Implementing local/global optimization algorithms and performing synthesis of the metasurface parameters for given far-field constraints.
Adopting the developed codes for 3D unit-cell synthesis.

Required qualifications:
MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
Experience in code development for integral equation/boundary element methods (preferred)
Experience in optimization algorithms (preferred)
A publication record

Doctoral Researcher
I'm looking for a self-motivated and hard-working PhD student who will be supported by SINGA scholarship given to the candidates from countries in America, Europe, Euroasia, Middle East, and Africa. The interested candidate will work on the computational electromagnetics and artificial intelligence techniques with applications to biomedical / microwave-terahertz circuit design / wireless channel characterization. He/she should have a bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering and a solid background on numerical methods, artifical intelligence techniques, and electromagnetics. He/she should be able to write codes in Phyton, Matlab, and C/C++ or Fortran.
