Focus areas of research

  • Design and control self-assembly behavior of molecules for application in personal care and water management in environment.
  • Manipulation of nanostructures/nanoparticles for nanotemplating, organic memory, photovoltaics applications
  • Understanding and the application of self-organization of peptides and polymers using x-rays and electron microscopy.

  3. Synthesis, Design, and Method of Forming Nanostructure-Based Organic Floating Gate Memory Devices (US Patent No: 8,089,115 Granted on 12 Jan 2012).
  4. Solution processed Inorganic films as gate dielectric for organic thin films transistors (OTFT) (US Patent No. 8,080,822 Granted on 20 Dec 2011).

Our research focuses on the design of functional nanostructured materials for optoelectronics application with a strong focus in the development of materials for a sustainable future.

In the field of optoelectronics, we are looking into applying these materials for solar energy harvesting, light emission and transistors.
