Research
Our research focuses on the design of functional nanostructured materials for optoelectronics application with a strong focus in the development of materials for a sustainable future. This ranges from synthesizing novel molecules for interesting phase transitions behaviour to working on controlling nanostructures formation and development through the understanding of the interaction energies involved for the various components in a system. In the field of optoelectronics, we are looking into applying these materials for solar energy harvesting, light emission and transistors. By understanding how the device performs, the programmable materials with desired properties can be developed. With the novel materials development, materials need not be passive entities but responds to variation in environment. Based on this concept, we were also able to tune water release in soil to improve water management in natural environment and also for other consumer application.
